Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Candidates must be able and willing to work in a fast paced production environment
Learn the variety of products produced as well as their associated characteristics.
Ensure all equipment and machinery is in proper working condition at the start and end of every packaging order
Operate said equipment and machinery throughout the bakery production process.
Identify packaging materials and subsequently be able to properly pack products into specified packaging containers
Learn and maintain a standardized rate and quality of production
Ensure all products meet quality and food safety standards
Assist with other duties around the facility as needed
Follow company rules, food safety, personnel safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure a safe clean working environment.
Work as active member of the department’s team
Be able to communicate with leads, managers, or supervisors regarding any safety or manufacturing concerns.
Ability to work overtime as needed
Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED equivalent – preferred but not required
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions
Basic understanding of entry level mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Be able to lift a minimum of 25+ lbs on a repetitive production basis
Perform work duties that involve extended periods of standing
Be able to communicate openly and effectively with leads and managers as needed
Ability to transition between tasks as needed
